Minding Your Thoughts
A Biblical Overview of Obtaining and Maintaining a Biblical Thought Life
Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Want life and peace? Become spiritually minded. How? The one person of whom it could be said that they had a spiritual mind without any fear of contradiction is Jesus Christ. Concerning His mind the Apostle Paul wrote: Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: (Philippians 2:5-6). In Philippians 2:7-8 Paul lists four characteristics of the mind and life of Christ. It follows that if any person develops these characteristics in their mind and life they too will be spiritually minded.
1) But made himself of no reputation,…
2) …and took upon him the form of a servant,…
3) …he humbled himself,…
4) …and became obedient unto death…
These are four characteristics of a person that is on the straight and narrow way of being spiritually minded.
May the Lord bless and be pleased with your thought life today.
