Rēad to Read …Again
Daily Reading: Ezekiel 43-45
Ezekiel 43:5
So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.
When Ezekiel saw the glory of the God of Israel come into the temple from the east he fell on his face. This is the common reaction to seeing God’s glory. Falling on one’s face is a sign of humility. Upon beholding the glory of the Lord, Ezekiel humbled himself before Him. So too should we.
Again, being absolutely unqualified to write on these matters with any certainty let me communicate this one simple thought. God is Holy and upon being in His presence unholy individuals, meaning every human, will fall on their faces. Because of pride this is largely unpracticed now, even during altar calls of a fine church service. But one day, before Him, just as Isaiah prophesied in Isaiah 45:23 and just as Paul confirmed in Romans 14:11, so it will be. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Might as well get in on it now, while the gettin’ is good!
