Minding Your Thoughts
A Biblical Overview of Obtaining and Maintaining a Biblical Thought Life
Isaiah 59:7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
Through the prophet Isaiah, God characterized the thoughts of the sinners in that day as …thoughts of iniquity…. This isn’t the first time that the Lord communicated such a thing. Speaking of mankind, God stated in Genesis 6:5: …every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. In the New Testament book of Matthew it is said of Jesus, And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? (Matthew 9:4).
Throughout the Word of God some people have their thoughts characterized by God as iniquity, evil, wicked and the like. What if God were to perform a survey of the totality of your thoughts? How would He characterize them?
May the Lord bless and be pleased with your thought life today.
