Rēad to Read …Again

Daily Reading: Psalm 115-118

Psalm 118:22

The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

Great Prophecies in the Psalms

Number Sixteen

Prophesied in Psalm 118:2 fulfilled in the life of Christ, testified three times by three witnesses.

Jesus: Matthew 21:42

Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

Peter: Acts 4:11

This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

Peter again: I Peter 2:7

Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

Paul: Ephesians 2:20

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Jesus was rejected by the builders, the leaders, the rulers, and religious crowd; but He was heard and received by the commoners. He is the cornerstone! Someone may ask of what? Of whatever a person makes Him to be.

He is the cornerstone of every local, Bible believing, preaching and teaching church. Some reject this, but it is so. He even called it “my church.”  He purchased it, He provides for it, He is the head of it, He is the provision of it, He is the provider for it, and He is the builder of it.

He is, or can be, the cornerstone of a marriage.

He is, or can be, the cornerstone of a life.

He certainly is the cornerstone of the faith once delivered unto the saints.

According to Webster’s 1828 dictionary a cornerstone is “The stone which lies at the corner of two walls, and unites them;…” This is exactly all that Jesus is. He is at the corner of the relationship between God and the members of His churches, God and spouses, God and family members, and so, so, much more.
