The Year of our Lord, Jesus Christ

Ecclesiastes 3:1

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Dear Reader:

Close to thirty years ago I began writing short devotions for my wife. I was learning such wonderful things in Bible college while she was taking care of our children and home, and I wanted to share with her that which I learned. Some years later I began sending these to my children and close friends, then they were offered to the members of the Friendly Lane Baptist church, then they were offered to other like-minded believers.

Over the years there have been seven major series.

The Original Daily Devotions at Dawn

A Year and a Day of Rejoicing

Business by the Book

Minding Your Thoughts

Daily Devotions at Dawn II

The Read-to-Read Series

The Year of Our Lord

In all, I believe, over 5,000 original short devotions have been written and distributed.

It has been a joy. However, I sense that the season is over, at least for now.

I trust that these short devotions have been a blessing to you and that you will continue to read God’s Word and glean much from its eternal wisdom.

Lord Bless,

William T. Howe Ph.D.
