Proverbs 30:4

His name was secret in the Old Testament yet revealed in the New Testament. Years ago, I wrote this poem for my wife. It speaks of Him.
From time to time, within my heart so low,
I search the ever living One, the One who loved me so.
I find Him there, not to despair, but with a love so true,
That light of love, born from above, He died for me and you.
This gift of His can no man pay, the price for which He gave.
Not only me, but for all mankind, He gave His life to save.
Forever more, from sin made clean, if to His blood we cleave,
To pardon us, and set us free, and rescue from the grave.
Yes, He died, oh Jesus died, the Christ, the Promised Seed.
I know He died, this Lamb of God, for my most dire need.
His blood was shed upon the cross, twill be my heavenly creed,
And He stands there now, before the throne, for me to intercede.
I love Him so, not just because, He died upon the tree,
But I love Him so, forevermore, because He first loved me.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, laid down His life for thee,
Will you come to the One who gives you rest, and a mansion clean and free?
