Daily Reading: Psalm 140-145

Psalm 140:1

Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;

If ever a man understood the importance of divine protection it was King David. After all it was King David that wrote …there is but a step between me and death. His very life was in jeopardy every hour. When it comes right down to it the only, and best, deliverance in which any person could hope is the divine deliverance that only the Lord God of Heaven can provide. While reading about this man’s life there is no doubt that divine protection was a common request made throughout his prayer life.

You may remember, David did not die in battle, nor by the hands of an enemy, the Lord having delivered him from such. May we be so blessed to have such a champion on our side. For it is so that the same Lord that delivered David, can deliver you. Just ask for it, this divine protection, let it be a staple in your prayer life.

Until tomorrow, live for Christ today.
